GAME-SAVING PLAYS

WEATHERIZATION
Keep the cold out of your end zone. The best offense in looking to lower your natural gas bill is a good defense against the elements.

Caulk or weather strip doors and windows
Replace aging insulation
Clean furnace filters
Wrap water heater with insulation blankets

CONSERVATION
The key to a long-term winning record is conserving energy not only during the season but in the off-season as well. Conserve now and save more in the long run.

Use extra blankets
Set water heater temperature to 120°F
Lower thermostat before leaving
Keep vents free from obstruction
Shut vents and doors to unused rooms
Close blinds at night, open on sunny days

APPLIANCES
A well-run team of updated, energy-efficient appliances can keep you in the game for many seasons to come.

Only do full loads of laundry
Don't overfill the dryer
Do not over dry
Clean lint trap before every load
Cover pots and pans when cooking (Keeping lids tight on pots and pans can tighten energy costs)
When buying kitchen appliances look for Energy Guide® labels to compare energy efficiency
